Spent the weekend letting Claude Code run my X account from my own laptop. Not a bot. A local node: it drafts in my voice, I approve, it posts from my browser.

Step by step

How to screenshot a tweet

  1. 1

Open the post on X, tap Share and choose Copy link (or copy the URL from the browser bar: x.com/user/status/…).

  2. 2

Paste the link into the field above and press Fetch. The real name, handle, avatar, checkmark, text, image and counts load in a second; a reply brings its parent post with it.

  3. 3

Pick iPhone or desktop, light or dark. Fix any number or word if you need to; the export is whatever you see.

  4. 4

Press PNG to download at 2× resolution, or Copy to paste the image straight into Slack, Figma, Notion or a deck.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

How do I screenshot a tweet with this?

Paste the link to the post (x.com/…/status/…) and press Fetch. The tool pulls the real name, handle, avatar, checkmark, text, image and counts, and for a reply it pulls the parent post too, then renders it exactly like the iPhone app or x.com. Switch iPhone / desktop and light / dark, then download the PNG at 2× or copy it to the clipboard.

Can someone tell if you screenshot a tweet?

No. X does not notify anyone when a post, reply or profile is screenshotted, on any platform. That includes this tool: it reads public data the same way a browser does and leaves no trace on the account.

How do I screenshot a Twitter post on iPhone?

Press the side button and volume up together, then crop. You get your own battery, clock and notifications in the shot. This generator produces the same iPhone layout from a link, without the clutter, at 2× resolution, and lets you switch to dark or light regardless of what your phone is set to.

How can I save a tweet as an image?

Paste its link here and press PNG. You get a PNG file named after the handle; Copy puts the same image on the clipboard. No account, no watermark, nothing uploaded from your side.

Does it work with replies?

Yes. Paste the link to the reply itself. The parent post becomes the focused post on the screen and the reply is shown first in the replies list, the way X shows a conversation. Quoted posts are rendered as text and image for now; the embedded quote card is next.

Is there a watermark?

No. The PNG is the screenshot and nothing else.

Can I edit the tweet after fetching it?

Yes. Every field is editable: name, handle, text, time, likes, replies, reposts, views, bookmarks, checkmark, avatar and image, for both the post and the parent. It builds a tweet image from whatever you type, so it can also make a post that was never posted. Use that for your own drafts, labelled parody and mockups; putting words in a real person’s mouth and passing it off as real is impersonation.

Does it look like the real X app?

iPhone mode reproduces the Post screen of the iOS app: status bar, “Post” header, the author block with the 𝕏.com label, 17pt text, the time · date · Views line, the action row with counts, Relevant / View quotes, the replies, the “Post your reply” field and the tab bar. Desktop mode reproduces the 600px post column on x.com. Icons are X’s own glyphs.

How do I save the image?

Click PNG to download the card at 2× resolution, or Copy to put it straight on your clipboard and paste into Slack, Figma, Keynote or a post. Both work in light and dark mode.

Do you store what I type?

No. Everything stays in your browser: the text, the image and the avatar. Nothing is uploaded, and a refresh clears it.

Mockups are the easy part. Real reach is the MCP's.
